FCC Allenwood is hosting a 5k fun walk/run on April 16, 2022.
Registration/ Check-in opens at 8:00 AM and Race begins at 9:00 AM.
The fun run/walk will start and end behind the FCC Allenwood Training Center on the track. The course is slightly hilly but almost all of it will be paved. The course takes you down the main institution road on the FCC Allenwood Complex, curves around one side of the United States Penitentiary, and at the halfway/turn around point you will find a water station where you will continue back up the main institution road and finish on the track.
The course will be fully marked and there will be event staff directing. After the 5K there will be a fun run for kid’s ages 12 and younger. This will consist of one lap around the track. There will be prizes for division winners!
Register before March 23rd to guarantee a T-shirt with your registration!!
The registration fee is $25 and $30 on race day. The kid’s fun run is $10 for a T-shirt.
There will also be food trucks at the race to purchase food and local DJ Shockwaves Sounds providing music!
