On October 18, 2025, Riverview Park in Lock Haven will be the heart of hope and resilience as the community rallies together for the 2nd annual Race Against Violence 5K. NEW this year is the 1k run/walk that is starting prior to the 5k! This event will raise funds and awareness for two organizations: Roads To Peace and the Ron Dailey Scholarship Fund, a memorial scholarship honoring the life of awarded firefighter Ron Dailey, who was tragically killed in January 2024. The 1k will start at 9:30am and the 5k will start at 10:00 am on October 18th, with day-of registration starting at 9:00 am for both races.
The Race Against Violence is a family-friendly and dog friendly race that welcomes avid runners and walkers alike to participate. The theme for this years’ race is “Resiliency” to raise awareness of five types of violence: gun, domestic, child, mental health/intellectual disabilities and sexual violence.
Roads To Peace advocates and assists survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing essential resources such as emergency shelter, medical advocacy programs, legal advocacy, and so much more. The Ron Dailey Keystone Central School District Scholarship Fund provides money to aspiring firefighters graduating from the district in loving memory of Ron Dailey.
