Spring Meadows is a beautiful park with mountain views and a mix of tree-lined and open areas. \nThe race consists of a 1.44 mile loop run on a lightly rolling course on a smooth dirt/crushed rock surface. \nYou can participate solo or as a team! Teams can have as many members as they choose and all members will receive the hoodie if the team collectively accumulates 25 laps. \nTeams are allowed to run as a relay or multiple members running simultaneously. We are keeping the team competition very open ended so you can challenge your team in the way that works best for you! \nFood and beverages will be provided throughout the event to get you through the day.

SUMMARY:Path of The Flood Historic Races – Johnstown\, PA
DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe Path of the Flood Historic Races allow runners to experience the historic 1889 Johnstown Flood in its entirety with the new 14 Mile course\, or in small droplets through the 5K or 8 Mile races. The course follows the Path of the Flood Trail\, travels through Staple Bend Tunnel – the first railroad tunnel in the United States – and finishes at Peoples Natural Gas Park where you can see the historic Stone Bridge\, still standing after stopping the majority of the flood’s energy. \nOur hybrid road/rail trail course beckons you to be a part of history once again! This year’s course adds the Trolley Line extension trail from East Conemaugh to Woodvale Heights\, eliminating the long\, arduous paved section on SR 271 that was the bane of past races. This new trail will add 0.7 miles to the two longer distances\, hence the “8 Miler” and the “14 Miler.” As we improve upon the experience each year\, all three distances will have timing mats with chip timing. \nThis event is hosted by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association and the Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority – all proceeds benefit the Cambria County Trails and the heritage of the Johnstown region.

The Run to Remember is a 3-mile run/walk through the Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial grounds\, a landmark veterans memorial located off of Interstate 81 in Hampden Township\, Pennsylvania. \nProceeds from the event will go towards funding the committees’ programs including direct assistance to Pennsylvania National Guard service members and their families\, scholarship opportunities for local High School Seniors and our continued commitment to expand and enhance the Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial for the central Pennsylvania community. The committee also holds several events per year that bring the community together to honor veterans and our military including National Vietnam Veterans Day\, Memorial Day\, Patriot Day\, Veterans Day and Pearl Harbor Day.

As a very good runner herself\, she directed the race for 25 years. Runners from all over Pennsylvania\, Michigan\, West Virginia\, New York\, and other states have a history of showing up in the beautiful Black Moshannon State Park every Memorial Day Weekend. After Mary Ann’s retirement from coordinating the race\, the reigns were handed over to\, the one and only\, Dave Caslow. With Dave’s guidance\, the race has continued to grow and has helped raise money to support the YMCA of Centre County and the local community. The event started as a run but has become a great Saturday morning kickoff to the Memorial Day Holiday for the entire family.

DESCRIPTION:The Worlds End Ultramarathon is a challenging foot race that explores the Loyalsock Trail\, Loyalsock State Forest and Worlds End State Park in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. The routes are largely rugged\, scenic-dense single-track trails with some fairly remote sections\, several waterfalls and multiple vistas of the beautiful Endless Mountains.
