SUMMARY:PHUNT Trail Race – Elkton\, MD
DESCRIPTION:25k Overall Results \n25k Age Group Results \n50k Overall Results \n50k Age Group Results \nThe PHUNT 25K/50K trail race is held at Fair Hill on the Saturday prior to the MLK holiday in January\, and is hosted by the Trail Dawgs.  It features a 25k and a 50k course. \nIn comparison to other parks in the mid-Atlantic region\, Fair Hill is fairly tame. The park has gentle rolling hills\, intermingled with moderately steep climbs that will not exceed 150 feet. The one loop course will start/finish on about 1 mile of asphalt/gravel road\, which makes it 2 miles total. In addition\, there will be sections of grass pastures to run in that add up to approx. 1 mile. The other 12.5 miles is single track. As a result\, you should expect to be “lost” all day long.

DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThis 5-mile trail race will start at pavilion 7\, runs past pavilion 8 to the Standing Stone/Monsell trailhead\, then climb up the east side of Monsell trail to the Lorence Trail to connect with Turkey Trail\, ascend those outstanding switchbacks (Thanks Standing Stone Trail Club!!) about 900 feet to the top of Stone Mountain\, then turn left (North) onto the Standing Stone Trail. Bask in the beauty of the Stone Valley Vista for a moment then grab a drink at the aid station (Staffed by the awesome volunteers of the Standing Stone Trail Club) before going full-tilt boogie almost all downhill for the final two miles back to the finish line at Pavilion 7.
