You can choose either the 7 mile course or the new shorter 4 mile course. All participants\, family members and spectators are invited to join us post race for a pancake brunch and other delicious treats! \nBoth courses run through the beautiful Mt. Pisgah State Park. Trails are mostly double track and elevation gain is around 900 ft total in the seven miler. The trails you will be running or walking on will take you around the beautiful hills and fields of the camp. You will get to experience a little bit of everything that running has to offer. \nDirt trails\, dirt roads\, a very small section of pavement and some technical side hills will have you loving your time on the trails. This is a nice course with plenty of trail to fly through on this beautiful course. \nWe will be offering 2 options this year. We will have a 5k and a 10k course. The 5k course will be the same as last year and the 10k course will be a turn around after the 5k and running the course backwards. We will be having a free kids fun run for kids 8 and under before the race.  Free child care will be available after the fun run so parents can run the 5k or 10k! \nWe will have an aid station with some goodies for everyone and a meal afterwards for everyone to hang out and talk about your run. \nWe will have day of registration again this year but it will be an extra 5 dollars. Registration on the website will close on May 17th so register early to guarantee you get a shirt the day of the race. Hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe Rothrock Challenge is a 25k trail race in the heart of Rothrock State Forest. The course covers almost 4\,000 feet of elevation gain through coniferous forests\, blooming mountain laurel\, lush rhododendron\, groves of ferns\, rocky climbs and descents\, and multiple stream crossings. There is a little of everything packed into one amazing 16 mile adventure! \nThe course will have three aid stations stocked with fuel and drinks: at 5.2 miles\, 9.4 miles\, and 13.6 miles. The cut-off time is 7 1/2 hours\, which is approximately at 26 min/mile pace–very doable even as a hike! The finish includes a bonus lake plunging option as well! SUMMARY:Path of The Flood Historic Races – Johnstown\, PA
DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe Path of the Flood Historic Races allow runners to experience the historic 1889 Johnstown Flood in its entirety with the new 14 Mile course\, or in small droplets through the 5K or 8 Mile races. The course follows the Path of the Flood Trail\, travels through Staple Bend Tunnel – the first railroad tunnel in the United States – and finishes at Peoples Natural Gas Park where you can see the historic Stone Bridge\, still standing after stopping the majority of the flood’s energy. \nOur hybrid road/rail trail course beckons you to be a part of history once again! This year’s course adds the Trolley Line extension trail from East Conemaugh to Woodvale Heights\, eliminating the long\, arduous paved section on SR 271 that was the bane of past races. This new trail will add 0.7 miles to the two longer distances\, hence the “8 Miler” and the “14 Miler.” As we improve upon the experience each year\, all three distances will have timing mats with chip timing.  \nThis event is hosted by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association and the Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority – all proceeds benefit the Cambria County Trails and the heritage of the Johnstown region.

The Run to Remember is a 3-mile run/walk through the Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial grounds\, a landmark veterans memorial located off of Interstate 81 in Hampden Township\, Pennsylvania. \nProceeds from the event will go towards funding the committees’ programs including direct assistance to Pennsylvania National Guard service members and their families\, scholarship opportunities for local High School Seniors and our continued commitment to expand and enhance the Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial for the central Pennsylvania community. The committee also holds several events per year that bring the community together to honor veterans and our military including National Vietnam Veterans Day\, Memorial Day\, Patriot Day\, Veterans Day and Pearl Harbor Day.

As a very good runner herself\, she directed the race for 25 years. Runners from all over Pennsylvania\, Michigan\, West Virginia\, New York\, and other states have a history of showing up in the beautiful Black Moshannon State Park every Memorial Day Weekend. After Mary Ann’s retirement from coordinating the race\, the reigns were handed over to\, the one and only\, Dave Caslow. With Dave’s guidance\, the race has continued to grow and has helped raise money to support the YMCA of Centre County and the local community. The event started as a run but has become a great Saturday morning kickoff to the Memorial Day Holiday for the entire family.

DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe Watsontown JesVic 5K was started in 2007 by Shannon (Hoffman) Pyles and Suzie (Wade) Watts to honor two community women\, Jessica Wade and Vicki Hitesman\, who both passed away from cancer. Jessica was a blue-eyed\, athletic 20-year-old\, a graduate of Warrior Run High School\, who pursued a college degree. Among her many goals was to run a marathon someday. \nThe other—a former nurse who touched the lives of the patients and their families from her early days at Williamsport Hospital and Kramm’s Nursing Home. She was a survivor of Hodgkin’s disease. Her youngest son played baseball\, her oldest ran cross country at Warrior Run. Vicki and her husband (who is also a runner) supported the cross-country team\, and all their sons’ endeavors. \nBoth had touched the lives of those in their community and in their workplace. We hope this race will continue that legacy. The money raised supports local families with members facing disease and struggling with the resulting medical bills. In its first 11 years\, the 5K has raised more than $50\,000 with the support of sponsor businesses\, donations\, volunteers\, runners\, walkers\, spectators and friends. The JesVic organizers\, and those supported by the funds\, are forever grateful.
