DESCRIPTION:5k Overall Results \nTRYathlon Overall Results \nTRYathlon Relay Results \nThe Step Outdoors TRYathlon\, hosted at Hills Creek State Park\, is an introductory event that is great for the novice while featuring a course that will interest the seasoned athlete. \nAs the name implies\, the focus is on “trying” rather than winning\, on camaraderie rather than competition\, on personal challenge rather than place of finish. Assemble a team of two or three people. Run\, paddle\, and bike your way to the finish! Or\, if you feel energetic\, complete all three legs of the event as a solo participant. The landscape of the park makes this a great spectator event too! \nStarting in 2015 and continuing now\, there are NO AGE CATEGORIES – all participants who finish will be recognized! \nCOURSE DESCRIPTION:\nRunning a mixture of park roads and trails around the perimeter of the lake for 5 kilometers. Paddle around temporary markers in the lake for approximately 1.75 miles. Bike on hard top and dirt roads in and around the park for 8.0 miles. All routes will remain the same as in recent years. The event includes a 5K stand-alone option. Runners will start at the same time and location as the TRYathlon participants and follow the same running course. While the event has always encouraged youth and families to participate\, now even more youth categories will be offered to reward the younger competitors in the 5K Run.

Over the past 27 years\, our mission and services have expanded in order to serve women and men affected by all types of cancer. \nThe annual Walkathon is our most important fundraising event and has grown into the largest event of its kind in Tompkins County. It raises nearly one-third of CRC’s annual budget and funds our core service so that….“no one faces cancer alone“. \nWhere does the money go? \nWhen you give to the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes\, you help create and sustain a community of support for people living with and affected by cancer. 100% of your gift remains in our community and allows CRC to provide all of our services free of charge so that… “no one faces cancer alone”. \nHow do I get there\, and where do I park? \nAccessible parking spots are located in the Children’s Garden lot as well as the lot next to the ball fields. If you need to drop someone off closer to the event site\, do so before 9am. The parking lots immediately surrounding the event will close when full\, and not open again until 11am. Please do not park in these areas if you need to leave the event early. \nAdditional parking is available at Cass park\, please note: there is no street parking on Route 89 along the waterfront. Parking is limited\, so please carpool or use one of these other ways of getting there.

SUMMARY:The Lake Carey Loop - Tunkhannock\, PA
DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nRelay Results \nRegistration at the Lake Carey VFD starting at 7am.  This is a “Sprint Distance” Triathlon.   \nThe swim or paddle will take place on Beautiful Lake Carey and consist of a 750 meter swim or 2 mile paddle. \nBikes can be dropped off and will be staged at 361 Shore Dr\, starting at 6:45am\, at the water section egress.  The bike section is competed on Township & State secondary roads and a small section of Route 92.  It is rolling hills with many turns and various road surfaces (but not dirt). A road or mountain bike can be used for the bike section\, non-electric. The bike section will be 20 kilometers.  \nThe run will be one full circuit of the lake ended at the Falcon Timing arch & clock\, near the race start area.  One lap of the lake is just over 5K. The lake hosts a number of walk/runs at the 5k distance every year. \nThis is the Inaugural event.  “You can only do Every Lake Carey Loop – IF you do the First One ! ” Special Awards for Fastest Male\, Female and Team of Veterans/First Responders and the Fastest Corporate Team entry.    \nThe race is presented by The Moose Lodge #1276 Tunkhannock Chapter\, a 501(c)(3)\, www.mooseintl.org for their link. \nThe founding drivers of the event are to help promote and assist in the funding of The Ralph V. Martin Family Scholarships and other worthy causes local to Lake Carey and Wyoming or Bradford Counties.  Ralph V. Martin Sr. purchased a small cottage on the lake in October 1958.  Since then\, 4 generations of the Martins have enjoyed the recreation and lake community and want to showcase the value of this natural treasure.

We will cross the river and head back southbound to the Nichols Boat Launch. \n3rd Leg:  7+ mile paddle from the Nichols boat launch south ending our triathlon at Riverfront Park in Sayre. \nThis will be a annual event and will become part of a 3-part triathlon in conjunction with the Wyalusing’s North Branch Triathlon and the Central Bradford Triathlon in Towanda.

Though this race has no qualification standards or registration restrictions\, be aware that this is not an entry level course for a trail novice. You now have the opportunity to race in Seasons of Rothrock Session III on the most advanced and efficient bicycle the world has ever seen. \nWHERE \nGreenwood Furnace State Park covers 423 acres in the never-ending Rothrock State Forest. Greenwood Furnace includes a six-acre lake\, campground\, hiking trails\, and a historic district. The park provides access to backpacking\, hiking\, mountain biking\, hunting\, and fishing. The race start will be staged in this area of rugged beauty\, abundant wildlife\, breathtaking vistas\, and peaceful solitude. \nTHE RACE \nYou will find roots and rocks a’plenty\, and a grassroots mountain bike culture that’s unique in its own right. You can expect a fun\, rocky\, and challenging course that keeps you focused doesn’t break your wallet\, and gets you home in time for dinner. DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe annual Chernisky Ghost Town Trail-a-thon is a weekend of fun and safe gathering on the Ghost Town Trail! \nThe foot race consists of 3 offered distances:\n– Marathon (26.2 miles) – Participants are dropped off at the starting point in Ebensburg\, PA and run the full marathon course to end at Duman Lake County Park. The course takes runners down the recent 2 mile extension of the C & I Trail through Revloc and back to the main stem\, then spans from Ebensburg to Vintondale along the GTT\, right to follow the Rexis Branch/C & I Extension\, then extends to the left down the recently constructed trail that connects the GTT system to Duman Lake County Park. \n– 15 miler – Participants are dropped off at the starting point in Nanty Glo\, PA and run the 15-mile course to end at Duman Lake County Park. The course is the same as the marathon\, but starting at a later point in Nanty Glo. \n– 5k – Participants run/walk an out and back course both beginning and ending at Duman Lake County Park using the recently constructed trail which connects the Ghost Town Trail system to the park. \nTransportation will be available for participants from the finish line in Duman Lake County Park to their respective starting lines for the marathon and 15-miler. Due to pandemic restrictions\, we ask that you arrange a personal ride if able\, but do require a mask to be worn while on the buses. A post-race festival will be offered for participants to enjoy food\, refreshments and entertainment after they finish.
