DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe Moshannon Rock Hounds are pleased to announce The Allegheny Front Trail 50k and half marathon will both be in the 2019 Rocksylvania Trail Series!! \nThe Allegheny Front Trail was established by Ralph Seeley in 1991. The trail encircles Black Moshannon State Park\, traversing 41.75 miles of the Allegheny Plateau\, some rocky and rugged\, on the way to five mountain trout streams and 11 vistas in the Moshannon State Forest. \nAFTR takes places just a few minutes drive from Black Moshannon State Park. Event options include the 50K Seneca Run (7 a.m. start)\, Half Marathon Hemlock Run (9 a.m. start). Race headquarters is at the Mid-State Regional Airport\, Terminal Building\, just 3 miles from Black Moshannon State Park\, approximately 9 miles east of Philipsburg (451 Airport Road\, Philipsburg\, PA 16866). \nThe Seneca 50K Run is a course on the AFT. Note that it is approximately 32.5 miles long. The Seneca Run is 100% trail. \nThe Hemlock Half Marathon run is a 14-mile\, 98% trail\, 93% single-track course. Runners start on a ½ mile of airport pavement\, then run on dirt/grassy road trail for a ½ mile. Both courses include aid stations/checkpoints and clear route markings

DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nThe Mt. Davis Challenge Road Race is a 40/56 mile race that traverses the highest point in Pennsylvania. The course is lollipop style that starts in Confluence\, PA and utilizes the hilly back roads of the Mt. Davis area and climbs to an elevation of 3\,213ft. Once over the top it descends on the eastern side and climbs back up on Savage Road before returning to Confluence. \nProlonged climbs\, fast descents and some rough road surfaces make this a true challenge. Men’s Cat 1/2/3 will do 2 laps of the upper loop. Participants can choose to walk the 1-mile loop with their dog or\, if they are looking for more of a challenge\, they can choose to run or walk the 5K event. The 5K will be a chip timed event provided by Falcon Race Timing. The 1-mile walk is for fun and will not be timed. \nThe event will take place RAIN or SHINE! \n100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Unleashed Foundation\, which is a non-profit organization providing education on responsible pet ownership as well as financial assistance for necessary medical care to pets whose owners cannot afford veterinary care when the alternative is often needless suffering\, surrender or euthanasia.  \nIn 2016\, Unleashed\, previously known as Libre’s Gift\, was established with funds earmarked for cases like Libre’s. His story had touched many and donors were reaching out\, eager to support other pets with similar needs. Timing will be done by Falcon Timing. \nAll money raised will be donated to the Reeve Irvine Research Center and Research For Cure. The center is named after Christopher Reeve and his family and their goal is to cure paralysis after a spinal cord injury. The money raised via the event will go directly to Spinal Cord Injury Research and human trials. The research has shown dramatic improvements in animal studies thus far. The hope and goal is to fund the ongoing trials on humans. DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results  \nRelay Results \nA regional favorite\, this 16th annual sprint triathlon and duathlon is located on the beautiful City Island Park in Harrisburg\, PA’s state capital. Swim is 0.8 miles with the current in the relatively shallow Susquehanna River from the north end to the south end of the island; the bike is a super fast and flat 14.5 mile course north along the river that will put your aero position to the test! The run traverses an old steel bridge and follows the shoreline 3.1 miles out and back along the scenic waterfront. You will just have to come do the race to find out why it is nicknamed the “Catfish.” Race benefits the Harrisburg River Rescue. Hope to see you in July!

DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe Little Loggers Trail Fest is an event geared towards getting kids ages 12 and under outdoors and giving them opportunities to try the sport of trail running. The Pa Trail Dogs and ReVibe Gear have teamed up to offer this event free of charge for all the kids. We are working on providing some other kids’ activities along with the 5K run so stay tuned. \nParents/Guardians are welcome to “pace” their young child but should not sign up for the event. Results will only be recorded for the kids. \nCourse will be about 2.75 miles long. A few small hills but enough for the kids to challenge themselves. Maybe one small stream crossing\, depending on amount of rain in June. Worst case\, wet feet\, but not dangerous. We’ll have a volunteer there either way. \nThe course will have volunteers along the way. Most likely within eye sight of one another. The course will be flagged as well. There will be one aid station at the halfway point. No runners will be out there alone at any point. \nParents/Guardians are allowed to run with their kids if needed but should not sign themselves up for the event. If for some reason the parent can’t run but still wants someone to be with their child\, we can offer a “pacer” to run with them. \nWe will have a lunch for the kids after the race along with other activities. Most likely hot dogs\, pizza\, and drinks. If you’d like to bring a dessert to share\, please bring to the event in a disposable serving dish/plate/pan. \nAlong with getting kids out onto the trails and exposing them to the sport of trail running\, we also want to reach kids who may be in need. If you feel that your family could use help in obtaining some crucial running supplies for your child\, please let us know. We’re working with sponsors to achieve this goal. We’ll also have a page set up for people to sponsor a child in need. Stay tuned for more information. \nLastly\, this race is free of charge for all kids 12 and under. If you’d like to volunteer or donate some items for the event\, please contact us at patraildogs@yahoo.com. We really want to make this an unforgettable day for the kids.
