DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe 2nd Annual “Dog Days” event will be held on Saturday\, July 28nd\, 2018. \nThe event is a dog-friendly event. There will be 5K awards for overall male\, female and canine; top two finishers in each age category (male and female) 12 and younger\, 13-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59 and 60 and older. Participants can choose to walk the 1-mile loop with their dog or\, if they are looking for more of a challenge\, they can choose to run or walk the 5K event. The 5K will be a chip timed event provided by Falcon Race Timing. The 1 mile walk is for fun and will not be timed. \nThere will be water stations for walkers/runners and dogs along the course\, food and beverage for registrants\, raffles\, FREE photo booth\, music and much more! \nParticipants who register by 11:59 PM on 6/30/18 will be guaranteed a shirt with their paid registration. Online registration will close July 23\, 2018 at 11:59 pm. We will have registration the morning of the race/walk beginning at 7am. \nThe event will take place RAIN or SHINE! \n100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Unleashed Foundation\, which is a non-profit organization providing education on responsible pet ownership as well as financial assistance for necessary medical care to pets whose owners cannot afford veterinary care when the alternative is often needless suffering\, surrender or euthanasia. Last year we raised over $20\,000! \nIn 2016\, Unleashed\, previously known as Libre’s Gift\, was established with funds earmarked for cases like Libre’s. His story had touched many and donors were reaching out\, eager to support other pets with similar needs. SUMMARY:Strides For SCI Research 5k / 10k
DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThere will be pre-registration the day of the event starting @ 7:30 AM. The first 150 registered participants will receive a goody bag containing a 5K event t-shirt\, coupons/gift certificates to local businesses and other small items (while supplies last). There will also be numerous giveaway drawings after the event. Each participant will be given a 50/50 ticket and that will used for picking the winners of the items being given away. Among the items being given away are handcrafted gold jewelry\, Penn State football tickets\, gym memberships\, gift certificates to local restaurants\, businesses and many other items. \nMedals will be handed out to the Top Three runners and Top walker in each age group. Timing will be done by Falcon Timing. \nAll money raised will be donated to the Reeve Irvine Reeve Irvine Research Center and Research For Cure. The center is named after Christopher Reeve and his family and their goal is to cure paralysis after a spinal cord injury. The money raised via the event will go directly to Spinal Cord Injury Research and human trials. The research has shown dramatic improvements in animal studies thus far. The hope and goal is to fund the ongoing trials on humans. DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nRelay Results \nA regional favorite\, this 15th annual sprint triathlon and duathlon is located on the beautiful City Island Park in Harrisburg\, PA’s state capital. Swim is 0.8 miles with the current in the relatively shallow Susquehanna River from the north end to the south end of the island; the bike is a super fast and flat 14.5 mile course north along the river that will put your aero position to the test! The run traverses an old steel bridge and follows the shoreline 3.1 miles out and back along the scenic waterfront. You will just have to come do the race to find out why it is nicknamed the “Catfish.” Race benefits the Harrisburg River Rescue. Hope to see you in July!

SUMMARY:Little Loggers Trail Fest
DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe Little Loggers Trail Fest is an event geared towards getting kids ages 12 and under outdoors and giving them opportunities to try the sport of trail running. The Pa Trail Dogs and ReVibe Gear have teamed up to offer this event free of charge for all the kids. We are working on providing some other kids activities along with the 5K run so stay tuned. \nCourse will be about 3.2 miles long. A few small hills but enough for the kids to challenge themselves. Maybe one small stream crossing\, depending on amount of rain in June. Worse case\, wet feet\, but not dangerous. We’ll have a volunteer there either way. \nParents are allowed to run with their kids if needed. If for some reason the parent can’t run but still wants someone to be with their kid\, we can offer a “pacer” to run with them. \nWe will have a lunch for the kids after the race along with other activities. Most likely hot dogs\, pizza\, and drinks. If you’d like to bring a dessert to share\, please bring to the event in a disposable serving dish/plate/pan. \nThis race is free of charge for all kids 12 and under. If you’d like to volunteer or donate some items for the event\, please contact us at patraildogs@yahoo.com. We really want to make this an unforgettable day for all the kids.

SUMMARY:Rothrock Trail Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nWelcome to the 10th annual Rothrock Trail Challenge. The event is scheduled for Saturday June 9th at Tussey Ski Area in Boalsburg\, Pa. Race start is 8am.  \nThe RTC will take runners and hikers through tunnels of rhododendron\, towering Hemlocks\, blooming mountain laurel\, seas of fern\, and mini boulder fields. The 17.2 mile course features mostly single track trails with 3 aid stations strategically spaced about every four miles. The signature section of the course remains the ever daunting Shingletown Gap cliff trail.\nEven the fastest of runners put on the brakes here as they scramble down through the cliffs with extreme caution. But just as runners had to run down into the gap\, they must climb back up the other side. This mile 10 section is usually the breaking point for most runners. But payback is awaiting as runners can enjoy a two mile downhill finish to Tussey Ski area.
