DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nThe Mulligans & Shinsplints fundraiser presented by Dieffenbach’s Uglies Kettle Chips is held the weekend after Labor Day each year. It was created to help alleviate the debt of the CIMIV school. Debt is incurred by the center due to the variable nature of the supporting funds that come in versus the steady nature of the expenses going out to keep the center running. \nThis event consists of a 5K & 10K race in rural Pennsylvainia on Saturday and a scramble golf tournament at Heidelberg Country Club not far from where the race is held. The event also includes a concert at the Herbert’s Amphitheater featuring Cory Shelly on Saturday night and we cap the weekend Sunday evening with a celebration dinner at Heidelberg CC filled with great food\, prizes and conversation.

DESCRIPTION:Overall Results \nAge Group Results \nWe are excited to present the first annual 5k Juniata Valley Trail Run! Sign-in and packet pick-up starts at 8 AM and the race begins at 9. Timing is provided by Falcon Race Timing Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you run at the foot of Shade Mountain. The trail is mostly wooded\, with a mix of gravel drive\, woods trail\, and field trail with approximately 700 feet of elevation. This is a rewarding\, moderately challenging trail run through the woods\, with some long\, steady climbs and descents. There will also be a 1-mile walk through the first part of the trail and a kids Fun Run for participants who want a lighter fare. Fuel stations with water and Gatorade will be stationed approximately every mile. Awards will be given in the following categories: Male and female 0 – 9\, 10 – 12\, 13 – 15\, 16 – 25\, 26 – 35\, 36 – 45\, 46 – 55\, 56 – 65. There will be hot dogs\, chips\, snacks and drinks provided at no cost for the runners\, their families and spectators. Everyone is welcome! \nProceeds from race fees will go to benefit local adoptive and foster families through Juniata Foster/Adopt Support group. \nThis organization provides vital support to foster families and families post-adoption\, including monthly meetings with the goal of helping to build relationships\, form a community of mentoring\, providing parenting education and offering socialization and recreational activities for families and their children. Juniata Foster/Adopt Group’s vision is to continue to develop new ways to serve the Foster/Adoption community and provide hands on support for our local foster and adoptive children and families. \nSeptember provides some of the best weather of the year\, so come join us for a fun morning of exercise and fellowship!
