Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity Lycoming College Chapter will co-host this year’s “Run for Shelter 5k”. Habitat believes everyone deserves a decent place to live and it is their mission to increase awareness and accessibility of affordable home ownership opportunities for working, low-income families. The non-profit has built or rehabbed 51 homes in the community since its inception in 1986 and has broken ground on homes 52 and 53 to be completed Fall 2018! The organization broadens its impact in the community through operation of the ReStore, a home improvement and donation center that is open to the public. Proceeds from the race will help support Habitat’s mission to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter in the community.
The first 100 Registered Racers will receive a race t-shirt. Sizes S-XL are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
